SouthAtlantic coast of Brazil with the
first Festa Literária Internacional de
Paraty (FLIP), its UK offspring FlipSide
opens with a tribute to one of Brazil's
most beloved poets.Vinicius deMoraes,
the renowned composer, essayist and
diplomat, together withAntônio Carlos
(Tom) Jobim, created an extraordinary
outpouring of some of the best-loved
songs in the world –
The Girl from
Ipanema,Corcovado
and
Chega de
Saudade
being just three of them – in a
genre which became known
internationally as Bossa Nova.
